Flooded garden – in Hamburg, en miniature announcing a week ago what was going to come

Image

But:

don´t blame the rain; this part of the garden has been sealed, no wonder that the rain can´t enter the ground as it does at the very same day in this ecological sound neighboring garden:

no flood, but plants recovering

What do you see?

A brave dandelion (= Löwenzahn)

in the midth of concrete desert. At the Center for calculating climate catastrophes

in Hamburg. Kind of dry humor…

Saying, well, don´t forget. You can eat a salad of Löwenzahn, but you will bite on dust and be buried under stone. The solution you are looking for in your data already is there – right befor your eyes:

Give green a chance. Grow food in the city. Reduce transport problems, lack of food and use what is there. Right next to the sun-dial. Humans need Plants. Plants need water. One problem less.

Image

„Says“ the tree. Being not enough. Where the gulli is, plants could grow, and plum trees nourish humans.

Image

Brave plant daring to remind not to use pesticides is the best flood prevention you can invest in.

Photographed in Hamburg

Where water masses look romantic and at the right place, but nevertheless…

Announcing quietly – there is a flood to come

Image

Duck and cover. Two of a kind on an arch of pebbles and plants, and the church

and maybe humans on a green roof top.

In movies people watch how early warnings of approaching catastrophes look like. Why don´t they listen, combine and act accordingly?

Image

A wave

is going to come – the snow showed in March this year; reminding of the winter that will follow nuclear fall out. Sooner or later. Fire and ice. Snow after Fukushima. People need protection caps if they operate plants instead of plants. Better enter the boats. Apart from any  romance. Venice was first.

In the Völkerkunde Museum of Hamburg an exhibition of the culture of the first nation indians reminds of the ability to observe what is happening in the environment, draw conclusions and act pre-emptive. The days ahead that save lives. Time to get back to earth.
